About Us

  A brief history of this fourth generation family owned business starts with our inception in 1926. For almost 100 years our family has been serving your family in New Castle and the surrounding areas with dependable, quality service. 

D.J. Hannon was established as a steam boiler company in 1926 by Daniel Joseph Hannon "DJ". He and his wife had eight children, all of whom worked at the business at one time or another. Joe Hannon was the oldest followed by Jack (Oscar), Mary, Betty, Bill, Dorothy, Don and Gene.

Joe was forced to drop out of high school in tenth grade at age fourteen to work with his dad at the plumbing shop. 

The business was diversified doing different types of jobs including residential service, plumbing, and heating to commercial piping. Joe was well known around town for his honesty and expertise, in which we instill in the business today. 

Eventually, all the siblings retired. Joe's son, David, purchased D.J. Hannon and continued in its success in the plumbing and HVAC trade, specializing in commercial and residential. He ran the business with his wife, Susan. 

In 2020, David retired and has trained his two daughters, Jaclyn & Diana to start the fourth generation. 

We are striving to continue to make D.J. Hannon a successful family owned business and continuing to provide quality & honest service to our customers.
